Ranveer Singh is one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood and has proved his caliber in a variety of roles. The year 2018 was simply great for him as not only his movies did pretty well on the box-office and earned more than Rs. 500 crore but he also got married to his ladylove Deepika Padukone.
Presently, the Bajirao of B-Town is busy in promoting his upcoming movie “Gully Boy” which is directed by Zoya Akhtar and stars Alia Bhatt in the female lead. The response on its trailer was quite emphatic and it appears that the flick will be a blockbuster.
Ranveer started his filmy career with “Band Baaja Baaraat” and from his first movie itself, he showed that he has all whatever it takes to be successful in Bollywood. But do you have any idea as to what he used to do in the beginning of his career?
Well, if you are thinking that he must have worked as an assistant to any director, you are wrong!
Ranveer worked as a copywriter in an ad agency.
Yes, you read that right! He started his career in the ad world and not in Bollywood and he has worked in two of the most famous and reputed agencies – O & M (Ogilvy and Mather) and JWT.
In one of the interviews, he revealed that he was a copywriter and he worked on brands such as Pond’s, Right To Information Act and Mattel.
After “Gully Boy”, Ranveer will start working for “83” which is based on the World Cup victory of Indian cricket team in 1983. In the flick, he will be seen playing the character of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. The movie will be directed by Kabir Khan who has earlier directed “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Tubelight”, etc.
