The Costume Institute Gala founded by publicist Eleanor Lambert, at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest fashion charity event. The famous faces from the world of fashion, film, music, and art come together to raise funds for the Met’s Costume Institute. Every year there is a different theme for the event. This year’s theme for the Met Gala event was Camp: Notes On Fashion.

Celebrities from all over the world were present at the event and each one of them took the theme a step ahead. Amidst the international limelight, our Indian beauties stole the show by their grace and charm. While Priyanka Chopra’s style invited internet trolling, Deepika Padukone won hearts by her barbie doll look.

Priyanka Chopra

Chopra wore one of the funniest dresses of the evening and was brutally trolled by the netizens. Her electrifying bold look and her outfit perfectly matched the theme of Met Gala but that does not stop fashion nazis from making fun of her. She was present at the event with husband Nick Jonas who sported white suit, while Priyanka opted for Dior in an exaggerated feathered embellishment dress with a thigh-high slit, Chopard pendants and her attire was completed with afro curls hairstyle and a dramatic crown.

Deepika Padukone

Fashion icon Deepika went for Zar Posen’s design for the event. She wore a strapless pink gown and looked like a life-size barbie doll. Her multi-tiered pink skirt was matched with wine lipstick and purple eye make up.
Though when the whole look came together, Deepika looked like a doll but she revealed that Zac’s inspiration was underwater, as the dress had sea urchins sewn on it.

Esha Ambani

Prabal Gurung designed Esha’s lavender couture gown for Met Gala 2019. The features on her dress were hand embroidered and okayed by Priyanka Chopra. From the dress to accessories, hair, and makeup everything was approved by Priyanka and Esha was looking ethereal in her outfit.

Natasha Poonawalla

Natasha chose Peter Dundas outfit for the Gala event 2019 graced the event in a crystal embellished mini dress with a detachable icy blue long skirt. She completed the look with a maang tikka which was unexpected, yet didn’t look out of the place.
